How We Work

What is it like to work with us? On this page we'll give you a sense of our guiding beliefs, approach to serving your needs and how we're different from most other CPA's and tax preparers.

We have a unique comprehensive service approach which we call "Value Pricing."

One of the most significant aspects of our Value Pricing approach is that we charge "Fixed Prices." Fixed prices are agreed to up front, before any work is started. You will never be surprised by a bill. Our clients appreciate knowing the price up front. This is why we adopted "Value Pricing."

Another important aspect of "Value Pricing" is that we define your expectations. We believe that meeting your expectations for a reasonable price is an important element of the value we deliver to you. We take the time to define your expectations and to talk about price up front before any work is done. The understanding about your service expectations and the fixed price results in a "Fixed Price Agreement."

The Fixed Price Agreement is a method of communication. Our goal is to exceed your expectations. This means that we must discover your expectations; the Fixed Price Agreement documents our understanding of your expectations and the fixed price. If circumstances change or unexpected events arise that change the scope of the services anticipated in the Fixed Price Agreement we communicate what is going on and reach an agreement about any additional services and their price before any additional work is done.

We customize a "Business Service Package" for your business. One important element of our Business Service Package is our annual consulting service. Our annual consulting service includes meetings and telephone support to discuss operations of your business, business matters, tax matters, and any other topic at your discretion.

We believe that this encourages you to seek advice before a significant event, not after the fact when it may be too late to implement tax and money saving strategies.

Also, one of the often heard complaints about professionals who charge by the hour is that clients get "nickled and dimed" for every phone call and meeting. Our fixed price for our annual consulting service avoids this problem. We are all about creating relationships that encourage communication. We believe that our unique service package encourages you to communicate instead of being concerned about getting a bill for every telephone call and meeting.

OUR OFFER TO YOU

The first step to determine if we should work together is A FREE ORIENTATION SESSION in which we discuss your current situation and goals. This session usually lasts about forty five minutes.

We believe in taking the time to discover your needs and expectations before there are any charges, to discover if your needs are compatible with our services.

That's why we do not charge for this orientation session.

After your free orientation session we will prepare a proposal with alternatives, if needed, or a Fixed Price Agreement which defines the services that you need.
